My English language challenges:

Hello partners, I hope you are very well, today, in this blogs I´m going to write about my English language challenges. I would like to say that the learning´s methodology of this class was very nice and it allowed me to get and learn to communicate with others people and understand something more about texts, movies, TV series, etc. In general, the experience with English at university had been entertainment, because the teachers used the participative process, and the class had one part of exposition, and other part with self-learning. It was very important, because the motivation and specifically the self-motivation was the key for the learning. About the methodology used for teachers, specifically about the use for blogs, I think that it is a nice support tool, because it allows us to read and write in English, share with other partners, see other experiences, learn about others careers, and know the knowledge, expectation and motivations of the other people.

Besides I think to need to improved many skills about listening, because I didn´t understand some things, I need more time for the prosecution of information and for this reason I have problems with the conversation with other people. However, I can keep a conversation, but with difficulty.

Finally I use the English for watch TV series. How I know about my problems with listening, I try to practice this, and I do the activity of listen English´s things, like movies or music. The objective is listen again and again until some keep in my head.

I would like to change about my career...

When I began to study psychology, I thought that I would not change anything, I liked it and it seemed entertaining and interesting, but over time I am realizing that I would change many things. Starting with the introductory classes, it because they are very boring, I think that when we enter the career we want to study psychology immediately, we want to talk about psychopathologies, see treatments, know what to do and do therapy with people, but only in the second year we study these more entertaining things, we have subjects calls
“psychiatry”, “psychopathology” and “cognitive neuroscience”. This classes are very nice. In the second place I would maintain the academic load, because it is not much, however I would like more practical subjects and not only theoretical subjects. In addition, I consider that the five years we studied are fine, because it is necessary to know everything we do very well. Regarding the infrastructure I would like more lifts for people who cannot walk well, this faculty should be more inclusive and "friendly", but it is all with stairs and all the places are small. With technology I also think that the u-courses platform is very useful because it allows us to study and have all the information about the subjects and the texts of classes. Finally, I think I would like to change the teaching method to something more participatory and I would like us to occupy other facilities such as the garden, outdoors, etc. 

Summer Holidays: 

Hi partners, I hope you are very well. Today, I´m going to talk about my next summer holidays.

First, is important to say that I participate in volunteering, it calls Rural Health Work. We (Partners of health area and I) going to Curepto this summer. This place is located in seventh region of Chile, near to Talca and Curicó, but for the coast. Like I said, I´m going to Curepto with others partners, in fact, we are two hundred people, because we are student of 10 careers, like medicine, dentistry, kinesiology, psychology, etc. We go to this place for eight days, and we stay in a school. It is an amazing experience because; we sleep on the floor, with blankets and mattress, but it is not only reason. We go to help people, and our mission is to move the health system to the people who live in rural areas of our country. Last summer we like volunteering went to Rauco, in seventh region too. For this reason, sleep on the floor is not the only great experience (like an adventure), because to help people is very well and this allows to connected with our careers. Besides we play very games in school, it games calls “life in community” and it allows us to share and reduce to stress.

Besides,during the year we prepare us with courses about topic that I will see in the place, so we have a preparation during all year for this moment.

I would like to study…

Hello partners, today I´m going to talk about my future post graduate studies.

This topic is very interesting for all us, because we need more specialization for the future job. Personally I would like to study something associated with child-teen psychology or maybe something associated with old age, I know this topics are very different between them, but I like the both areas. I don´t know, maybe I going to study one first and the other later. Besides, the old age people will be a great part of the society, much more that now.

About the subject, I would like to study child-teen neuropsychology, therapy and psychological evaluation, but, also I would like to learn about alternative therapy, like music-therapy or art therapy, because this allows to know other expressions of child-teen or old age life.

Also I would like to study on other country, maybe Spain or Mexico, because the language is Spanish, although I saw a program in Vienna that was very interesting, but unfortunately, the requirement was great fluency in the German language.

I think I would like to travel for study, maybe work in this place or just study, but I think it will very funny, because I could to mix my personal interest about studies with many adventures in the new place.

My Future Job:

Hi dear partners, today I´m going to talk about a important topic about our life: the job in the future. Although I´m study psychology, in the beginning I didn´t know about my job, but now, when this future is near, I know that I want. I like clinic psychology and I would like to job, in first place, at COSAM, a specialized center of attention of people with problem of mental health, especially with child-teenagers population. Then, I would like to job in program that connect with others areas like Educational and community Psychology. When I think where I would like to job, I always said: "I wouldn´t like to job in box, I´m going to feel better working outdoors". Besides, I would like to travel while I´m working, because it will be very nice, to mix work and adventure in others places, I don´t know, I would like the idea. I think something very important too, is the salary that the center or whatever place when I going to job will pay me, I wouldn´t a big salary, but I want money in proportion to my job. Finaly, I would like to continue my studies with a major, maybe in pediatric neuropsychology or in therapy with families, I don´t know yet, but I want to study more, I´m sure about that.

CAREER CHOICE:

Hello dear partners, today I´m going to write about my career, Psychology.

When I was at school, always I wanted study Psychology, because I liked to understand to people, my friends, my partners, and I thought "I want to read head´s people". I was just a child. Obviously when I started the career, I understand that psychology was totally different, because it was a science or it want to be that.

However, I had very others options, specially on 4°, when we left the school.

I thought "oh, maybe can be a teacher", "oh, I like politics science" or "oh I like sociology", even "I like kinesiology", but I choice the first option that I have until 1°: PSYCHOLOGY.

The experience has been very confortable, because I feel that I learn so much, about people, about therapy, about methods, but specially I learn about me and my skills. This knowledge to allows me to participate a volunteering like a psychology´s student on rural areas with other students of others careers of the health area.

So, for this reason, I think that I thought "oh, I going to be a great professional for to help the people with his mental health" I didn´t do wrong, because I like my career, and I would like to be a great child-teen psychologist.

Best Genre and Best Movies:

Certainly, in my opinion, the movies are the best invention of the man, because are very funny and had many stories. Hollywood is the great organization behind the all movies, but my favorite genre is the action. I like the action´s movies. The adrenalin of the characters, the scenes of risk, the pursuits, all of this. So, I don´t have favourite movie, because I like many flims, but if you ask me, I would choise the fast and furious (My first favourite movie, and I have be honest, all movies of fast and furious), other movies that I like are the MCU or Marvel Cinematic Universe, like the Avengers, Iron Man, Captain América, Hulk, Thor, Spiderman, etc. I like this movies because the characters with superpowers and adventures are amazing, and principally the special effects are unbelievables. Finally, also I like the Mission impossible movies (all this movies), the James Bond movies (all this movies too), and John Wick (1 and 2), principally for the scenes of risk, fights and pursuits. Like you can see, I don´t have one favourite movie, because I have many favourite films.
